ChainCatcher 消息，据金十報導，美聯儲近日宣布，Michael Horowitz 將出任美聯儲新任監察長，接替自 2011 年起擔任該職並於今年 4 月退休的 Mark Bialek。作為美聯儲監察長，他還負責對消費者金融保護局 (CFPB) 進行獨立監督。他此前的職務是司法部監察長 (IG)。美聯儲的監察長是由主席挑選的，這在政府監管機構中不同尋常。一些參議員認為，這種安排使監察長無法對美聯儲進行真正的監督，他們已提出立法，要求由總統來挑選監察長，然後經參議院確認。在美聯儲內幕交易風波後，美聯儲監察長成為公眾關注的焦點，該機構負責評判一些聯儲官員的交易行為是否符合道德要求。
