Zhao Dong

Zhao Dong is the founder of DFund and a well-known figure in the crypto fields. Born in a rural area of Shanxi, he graduated from Dalian Jiaotong University and was once the co-founder and CTO of Moji Weather. In 2012, he left Moji Weather and entered the cryptocurrency space. In 2013, he first encountered Bitcoin and quickly accumulated wealth. However, in 2014, he suffered a significant setback due to investment mistakes, losing about 150 million RMB. Afterward, he gradually repaid his debts through over-the-counter Bitcoin trading and founded DFund in 2017, a fund specializing in cryptocurrency investments. Zhao Dong has also invested in multiple blockchain projects such as TNB, QASH, and aelf, and founded RenrenBit. He proposed the "Bitcoin Season Theory" to analyze market cycles, emphasizing value investment and risk control. He believes the key to Bitcoin investment is to "never get off the train." Zhao Dong was arrested and jailed for OTC transactions in 2021.
